Mornings With God
/This is a new and exciting day, I have no idea what this day holds, but you do, Lord guide my every step today Amen. This was a prayer and affirmation from my morning read from a book called living in the light. When I read this, I was instantly filled with energy I felt empowered, and confident that I can conquer the day the best way possible. This led me to ask what is some of the things are you say or do to declare a winning and powerful day, this is the most important part of our day that most of us neglect. Instead the tone of our day is set by what day of the week it is and the tasks and commitments we must take on in that day. Allowing your day to be controlled by thoughts that does not contribute to our mental health or enhance our energy and how we operate those are some of the things we need a complete mental detox. Day to day life is a gift but the kind of day and life we live is what we choose, the choices we make can either elevate us or create a ripple effect of negative results. Our choices are usually influenced by our thoughts, the type of language we use first thing in the morning, and the type of outside influence we allow in. This is challenging and it is a struggle, but we cannot accomplish or begin to master self-discipline until we make a conscious effort to get better and make choices that are going to contribute to our life in a positive way.
Prayer, meditation, and making a conscious choice to protect our peace and having a happy life begins each day the moment we open our eyes. There is a renewal and a commitment that we should all declare and sign upon entering a new day, leaving yesterday’s struggles where they belong in the past. Our only and most important responsibility for each day is to be present, open, and ready to be blessed be a blessing and conquer the day in ways that promotes peace, growth and harmony. Protecting our space and energy Is key because if we are always giving access and making ourselves available to every cry, concern, or frustration we begin to carry those same feelings even though these problems are not of our own. Meditation is very powerful tool sounds simple but is very much challenging, it is hard to put our mind on time out sometimes, I can recall the very first time I tried to meditate I learned how powerful and loud the mind is. The moment I closed my eyes I began to hear all my thoughts and concerns screaming at me all at once and although that made it difficult for me to relax, I learned something in that moment. I learned that the level of chaos that is present in our mind and internally is what our life will reflect externally, with that understanding I thought if I practice creating peace and harmony in my mind my life can and will reflect that.
Everything we put in is what comes out if you desire a positive outcome there must be positive input, in life you will only receive what you put out. In order to receive happiness and love we must be vessels of love and happiness be slow to react but quick to give without personal gain, doing what is fair and kind is not a recipe for instant gratification but a lifetime of abundance and prosperity. We are the co-creators of our life we are responsible for our thoughts and our thoughts dictate our energy and our attitude. Read all the books you need, listen to the audios that promotes healthy living and thinking, and surround yourself with people that add value instead of subtracting from your progress. In the end we only have ourselves to blame for how we live each day, what we create and the value we add to not only ourselves but of everything and everyone we encounter. To have the power to choose we must also have the power to accept all that is, accept all that isn’t and be willing to let go and let God the only person that can alter the course of your day Is your mind.
