“You got to be careful if you do not know where you’re going, because you might not get there.” – Yogi Berra, do you know where you are going? do you know how to get there? When I read this quote these are the two questions that come to mind why? Because often we get lost in our dreams because we tend to focus only on the end results disregarding all the challenges that will come and as a result of that not being prepared for the good the bad, and the difficult times on their journey. It Is important that when we declare something over our lives and declare what we want we are first open to all possibilities and we have a plan of action with a no matter what happens attitude. The reality is nothing good comes easy and nothing great can be birthed without labor and pain, without vision there is no dream and without faith there is no action.
Words hold a lot more power than we all sometimes are able to realize and when we say things that are not conducive to our well-being and not having a clear vision of what we want, is the same as walking in the dark without ever flicking on a switch to see what direction you need to take that aligns with what is best for you. We also must be careful of only chasing things based on materialistic rewards and money because it is only fun in the beginning, but money is not a strong enough reason to maintain our spirit of determination and the motivation to stay focused. Those are some of the reasons we see a lot of people in the world today that externally they seem to have it all but internally they are broken, empty, and lost, and for us looking from the outside will think this is strange. It is not strange it is a great reminder and confirmation that money cannot buy happiness and will not grant us peace, the real wealth is finding what really fires up our soul and ignite it with love and passion. Until we find that we will always be good at doing good instead of being great, doing good only grants us temporary satisfaction with questions in the back of our minds such as what if I did things differently? What if I took the time to find myself and what my purpose is?
Life is so much bigger than just us, life has so much more to offer us than it must take from us it is all about our ability to change our perspective and having the courage to believe in our unique divinity. The ability to believe that we are not only created to just exist, we were created to excel and elevate above our circumstances. One of the biggest ironies in life is the fact that the very same circumstances that we see as a disadvantage is our greatest advantage. Inside of all the dark times and struggles there were beautiful gems to take away that if you apply them your future self will be thankful for every battle, every small win, every loss, and every set back that prepared you for your greatness. I encourage everyone today to get clear on who you are, paint the picture, create the vision learn who you are and what really makes you happy before setting out on your journey to creating a life of purpose and bliss. “My Purpose Is connected to the heart, my vision is led by courage and I have faith in the higher powers that is within me will guide me.’
When you reflect on your life and all the steps you had to take to get where you are today and the direction you are headed in today, is there anything about your journey that you would have changed or done differently along the way.? “Challenges are what makes life interesting, overcoming them is what makes it more meaningful”. The only thing I would consider changing would be how much time I spent complaining and singing the why me songs instead of being present in that moment and appreciating the unknown blessings in disguise. The person I am growing and striving to be today understands that I will never be able to get any of that time back and I most certainly cannot change any of my actions or thoughts. The only thing I can do is be in control of me and strive to not repeat those same things I would like to change. Realizing now just how precious time is, I now go through each day with my focus and intentions set on growing and learning a new lesson daily. Why? Because in taking on this I find myself being more open to adversities and excited about life, I spend more time laughing and appreciating what I like to call God’s always on time sense of humor.
I will write down my plans for each day and sometimes for the upcoming week in advance down to the hour and as I shared in a video blog last week, I have an alarm set for each task from a beginning to an end time. I am aware that everything will not go exactly the way I anticipated or would like for it to go, this was one of my biggest struggles in the past I would get so disappointed and frustrated whenever I was unable to complete my tasks. There are moments where I still need to take a moment and remind myself that what is out of my control there is no sense in dwelling and wasting time and energy. I will say since I have been on this journey of building my vision it has helped me to become a lot more patient with timing and challenges. I have been learning that I am capable of enduring much more than I allowed myself to before. One thing I have mastered is that when things do not go as planned and there is a shift in my schedule is to shift and find the next best task that is possible to be achieved at that time. This is also one of my main reason that I stand behind the theory that we should always write down all that we wish to accomplish daily. From my own experiences I feel taking this step provides a sense of clarity, why? Because if I am unable to complete a specific goal at a time I can look at my list to see what I can do while my main task is on delay, if I do not have a list or an idea of what my next commitment is naturally I may be in panic mode focusing on the delay and what I cannot change.
I have a list as a guide for my day, for every task I have listed I take on one task at a time, in each time slot I am hundred percent committed. Plan B’s are something I always viewed as a distraction depending on the situations especially when it goals to goals and prioritizing your day, daily guidance is the key to a productive day for me. Do not focus so much on being busy work harder on grasping the art of patience and humility, no matter how specific you are in planning remember things do not always go according tour plans, the areas we struggle in the most is because God loves us so much he will test us in these areas not to break us but simply to strengthen us. This takes a lot of patience and faith in ourselves and God’s plans for our lives. While we are mastering life and ourselves remember to remain humble, god does not reward arrogance or ignorance. Spend less time judging, blaming, and complaining about people and the things we cannot change. Most importantly remain true to yourself and what is in your heart God cannot bless who you are pretending to be.
Today in 2019 our cell phones are a part of our everyday life, we use it for almost everything from connecting with friends and family, to operating business, taking notes, and storing important information. The more we use it and the more information is stored eventually it will run out of memory and begin to move slower than the normal. When this occurs, there are expected solutions such as the option to reset, reboot, or clear storage to make more space so that it will be able to function at its best. Just like our cell phones and any other electronic devices we utilize daily this is the same concept with our mind, body, and energy. If we are constantly working, being available, collecting and operating daily without rest or ever stopping to refresh we will burn out. Unlike our cell phones that can be replaced we are not able to walk into a store and replace our peace of mind, our health, or our bodies naturally. which leads me to ask this question why it is not important to perform daily maintenance on ourselves? why we believe that we can just continue to function daily on E.
It is Impossible to perform at our best without maintaining our vitality levels, I strongly believe that one of the many reasons the world is filled with so many angry people driving, at work, or just out and about. It stems from being so wound up, over used and drained mentally. So, naturally everything causes these types of people to explode not because of a current event happening at that moment but because of all the behind the scenes stress and load they are carrying that must get released. Unfortunately, it gets released in explosive behaviors, simply because there is not enough time and commitment to restoring our peace and refreshing our systems. The lack of self-check and the ability to refuel our mind and body is not a priority for everyone. Not everyone is focused on their centering thoughts daily, and not too many people know what it means to be connected to their true self to know when they need to refresh and restart. There are many beneficial and helpful ways that we all could take the time to make sure we are not operating in over drive and running on low, to be whole and become more effective in our daily activities.
Some of the ways I focus my attention on hitting the restart button is by challenging in myself mentally and physically whether it is engaging in a new and challenging work out, our focusing on vibrating higher by practicing mediation and advance personal development and alone time. Right now, I have committed to doing a twenty-one-day guided mediation course which I have found very relaxing and beneficial. I have committed to maximizing my time in the gym alone just to focus on my own strengths and results. I have also been spending more time listening to music that is focused on living the life of your dreams and I am more focused on operating from a place of love and patience. I have also been challenging myself to being more patient and understanding in specific areas of my life. I know this sounds easy just reading or it may sound like a lot to some, I will share that it is not it takes a lot of will power and commitment that no matter happens I must do with no excuses. It takes practice and growth the best way to master we is through repetition, until it becomes second nature and a must that you cannot do anything else unless these things are in order. What books are you reading, what are you listening, and what methods are you taking to make sure your system does not shut down from excessive usage without refueling. This month commit to self-healing and staying charged at all time it will make all the difference in our personal lives and in our business.
“Allow yourself to be free in your imagination to create the life you see with your heart and not what you see with your eyes”. In life I believe that when it comes to our dreams and purpose, we are limited by what we can see, and we often disregard our value which is something we cannot see with our eyes. We only believe in what we can see, and we allow ourselves to believe that we can only dream to a certain level or believing that somethings are just too far out of our reach. In some cases, you have the people that associate all the events in their life to be luck related and the more adversities they face they will claim to only have bad luck and that nothing good happens for them or in their favor. I will be the first to admit that I was a firm believer in only what I could see, and I also always associated every sequence of my life whether good or bad with luck. In the last view years, I have learned that luck is a success or failure that is apparently brought by chance rather than by one’s own actions.
When I was twenty- one years old I had just become a new wellness coach and a Herbalife independent distributor, I used to attend all the monthly trainings that focused not only on building your business but also about life. This was where I first learned about personal development, in this environment is where I learned about integrity and what it means to have integrity, this is the space where I learned a lot about choosing yourself and not being afraid to dream big. The irony with this is all that I received way more than I expected and more than I perceived being a distributor to be, at first, I only got started because I was in a dark space and was just looking for ways to heal. From the outside looking at other distributors it appeared that they were just personal trainers without a certification with an amazing nutrition guide, which was far from the truth. One day at one of the trainings someone asked what you want to create for yourself in the next five years and I remember thinking about the question and being afraid to say something that was grand because I thought that I had to be realistic. I have grown to realize that when it comes to your dreams being realistic is another way of playing it safe sticking to what does not seem hard to access and what we consider to be achievable. I went home, and I thought about what I really wanted to create for my life in the next five years by taking on this path of being in service to others. My answer to the question was that by the age of twenty-five I wanted to retire myself and from a job building my own business granting myself time and free will.
When I first joined, I never saw myself being an entrepreneur, I never believed I could run my own business, I never imagined not working a job or having a career in a field with a high paying salary. The irony is because I began to believe in what I could not see with my eyes, but I saw with my heart I began to believe that I was worth living a beautiful life doing what I love. I began to believe that I mattered, and I had so much more to offer to the world, on Wednesday I woke up and I said to my mother a few years ago I made a pact with myself that at twenty-five I was going to retire myself. In that moment I realized that I am now twenty-five years old I am not only a wife and a mother I am the CEO and Founder of Unapologetic Happiness LLC. I humbly share this to say life has a very mysterious way of guiding and allowing you to find your purpose through experiment, even though I am not a distributor any more it was the experimental phase in my life that led me here. If I can do this anybody can do this do not allow your circumstances, finances, or past to limit your vision of purpose. Everything we desire in life is accessible if we apply ourselves to what Is meant for us. Luck is not a factor our ability to believe in the unknown and trust God’s love and timing for our life, we all were created with a mission to find our purpose and share it. Do not be afraid to dream big, to not be limited by realistic thoughts and expectations of the world trust your heart and follow your dreams.
