Over Coming Obstacles

Too often in our lives we find ourselves focused on resolving issues on the surface without ever acknowledging that everything starts within us. As much as we would like it not to be an internal issue with ourselves because, then we are unable to place blame on anyone else. Deep down we know that some of the things we struggle with are not from the present it is simply our mindset of living in the past.  Refusing to let go or move forward from an experience that may have been very traumatic or unexpected which made you feel hurt and confused.  This is very common, but it can be the cause of a lot of turmoil and mixed signals in our adult lives, which can and will be the reason we are unable to reach our true potential in life and fulfilling our purpose.  The only reason we are afraid to work on the problem internally is because most people are afraid to admit their struggles for multiple reasons. One they fear looking weak and being labeled as a troubled soul, they allow their past experiences to mean something about themselves.  The things of our past while growing up a lot of the times these were things we did not choose they were just our circumstances at the time.  The sad truth is when it is over and done, we are now responsible adults if we continue living in the past and operating from that space as if things are still happening to us now that is our choice.

We did not choose the battles we would have to fight and the things we had to go through but we do hold the key to over coming them. We have one or two choices we can continue to live as this thing is still happening to us, or we can choose to identify the problem, get clear with how it made you feel, release it and not allowing it to mean anything about you. By not taking responsibility for another person’s action or the unexpected events in your life you are already won half the battle and understanding that what they did is on them and how you move forward is on you.  They have an old saying that goes ‘what don’t kill you will only make you stronger”, if what you went through was meant to break you then that is just what would happen. Nothing in life is an accident or a coincidence, if after the storms come and they go we look around and realize that you are still standing rejoice. Rejoice and act in turning that pain into prosperity be free in it, do not hold it as your secret and keep nurturing it in your mind. If you can take on being confident knowing that what you have been through does not define you and will not control you that is the secret to growing beyond your fears.

Strength doesn’t come from what you can do
It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn’t

Every morning upon rising I encourage you to look yourself in the eyes and say I am whatever I desire to be. The things that I have been through molded me to get here today, they do not define me neither do they control me. I am in charge of my happiness there is nothing too big or hard for me to overcome if I focus us more on what I want to manifest in my life and not what I do not want. I am fearless and open I may have been at my worst before but I am still a diamond in the rough. I am not waiting until I arrive to shine I will shine in the dark, in the mud and in all my trials because I understand that, happiness is a choice rather than a label or due to succeeding externally. I am content with who I am while working daily on loving who I am becoming and all that is in my life. Each day we must set our intentions on being in alignment with the process of life, trusting our intuition and allowing our inner purpose to guide us freely. God is always with us our duty is to be the passenger and allow him to be the designated driver.
