Life Check

How often do you check your surroundings; how often do you take inventory of your life? Taking inventory of my life and checking my surroundings has been a habit that I developed as a teenager. Today as an adult it is no longer a habit but second nature for me to always make sure that the things I am committed and the people I am surrounded by adds value to my life and that I can add value to their lives as well. Time is precious and life is unpredictable, which means we have no time to waste. Every day that we are blessed with life it should be our goal to make all twenty-fours in that day count. Life is what we make it, but our life is shaped by our perspectives and our attitudes when faced with adversity. During our seasons of challenge is the best time to take inventory of our life, because this is the period in our life when all that we were once blind to is revealed to us. The truth is we can only see what is being revealed if we are not resistant but receptive to what we were placed in this situation to learn. A lot of the times we are blinded by our attitudes and our desires to be a victim and not victorious during our battles. The challenges that we face we are already equipped for and by eliminating the spirit of complaints we increase our ability to grow through our tests.

in addition, I want to share why taking a different approach to how we handle our current circumstances is important. In the lowest moments of your life have you ever experienced the feeling of being alone? When you look around and it is impossible to find the people you expected to be there with you, everyone that you expect to show up for you, and support you is no where to be found is a blessing in disguise.  This does not happen by accident this is always done with God’s greatest intentions for our lives. From my own experience and through studies of successful people, it is true that most of us will experience our lowest points just before we take flight. The reason being is God loves us enough to reveal to us who is for us and who is only with us for what their own personal gains. Our responsibility is to settle down, get control of our emotions, doubt, and the fear of what is happening. One of the best ways to shift our energy during adversity is to put on our magnifying glasses and tap into our gift of sight. If you are uncertain about the people in your life or not knowing who to trust, go through your storms and pay attention you will see clearly.  The key to learning is to apply the lessons being learned is most people are sometimes afraid to take necessary action. Depending on the role or the title a person holds in our life it becomes a conflict of the heart.  God is always prepared to love and bless us, but he cannot bless who you pretend to be or where you are, and who is present.

In closing I want to remind you all how important it is to protect your space, your mind, and your energy always. In life we block our own blessings by being comfortable. Growth can only take place when labor is active, we cannot give birth to our purpose without experiencing discomfort. There will come a time when the friends you once knew and thought you needed will only be a memory of the past, when family are put at a distance simply because of you being obedient to God’s plan for your life. Today I want to encourage everyone reading to embrace your current circumstances, take this time to take inventory on your life. Checking of the expiration dates to make room for new and exciting possibilities that awaits you. There will be people that will only support you when it is beneficial for them or pretend support you just enough to know all your ideas and plans. Learn to recognize when, where, and who is deserving of your time, your energy, and most importantly your life. Living an unapologetic lifestyle is not easy but it is worth it, there is nothing more rewarding than living, loving, and creating your best life on purpose. Choose to have the full experience of who you were created to be in life no matter what, always remember that you are the author of your life. Live bold, be free, love fearless, and choose to live an unapologetic happy life.
