Your Purpose Beats within

“Do not die with your music still inside of you”, last week Thursday while listening to a motivational lecture online this was a quote said by Dr. Wayne Dyer. When I heard it the first time had to me replay it not because I did not understand it but because it gave me chills. The thought of me not doing what I love and living in my purpose or in his words dying with my music still in me would break my own heart. It also gave me chills because I often hear stories of people and I know a few people that have so much inside of them but have settled into the roles of life they feel they are assigned to. They are excellent mothers, have great careers, devoted wife, but if you had a moment to sit and listen to their stories you will find there is something missing deep within, there is a light that has been dimmed. If you talk to them long enough you will hear the stories of all the things they once loved and never had a chance to complete or pursue. It is when discussing these things, you can see the twinkle in their eyes and see their light shine just from talking about it.

So, I want to ask are you listening to your heart and singing your song out loud so the world can hear you? or will you continue to live your life on mute?  We commit to all the roles in our lives all the must do’s and the things we should do but what about what you are destined to do.  What if you decided that you no longer are interested in living up to the standards of society of what is the right way or what is the wrong way. What if we just did what we felt in hearts and begin to listen our inner voice. This does not mean you will abandon all your responsibilities this just simply means taking risk to do something a little different something for yourself.  Trusting that the voice within is there to guide you into your purpose, that voice within is our true nature of who we are and the things we desire. The titles behind our names, the high paying career, the house we live in, and the cars we drive is not who we are they are things in our possession. They all have an expiration date and so do we the difference is when they expire they will have already served their purpose but will you have served your purpose when your time come?

Get inspired to live in your purpose to be inspired simply means to be in spirit, your purpose are the things that you love to do without any rewards just the act of being makes you happy. Your purpose makes other people happy and seeing others benefit from your contribution to the world brings you peace. If you are a writer be a writer, if you are singer sing your highest ballads, whatever you are in your heart be it, bring it to life. Do not allow being a parent to be an excuse, being a wife, or having a degree stop you from following the beat of your heart. If you must dance to the beat until you have found the words I hope you will dance with passion and excited about the song in your heart that brings you joy and makes you feel alive. The only thing you will regret more than failure is never listening to your heart and following your true desires, living outside of your true self simply means living for others.  Sing like no one else is listening and dance like no one else is watching be fearless and free to live the life you were created to live.
