Healthy Lifestyle = Happy Life

Have you ever noticed that in the gym is where you will find some of the politest, and happy people? At first it caught me by surprise for me it is very rare that a stranger smile and says good morning with so much excitement especially at 5 a.m. That was so amazing to me and I will say it is one of the many things that attracted me to making living healthy and active as a lifestyle. I thought to myself if everyone had the same attitude as the people in the gym did the world could possibly be a much happier a place. In doing my own research I learned   that some of the key benefits to exercising are; happier moods, better sleep quality, improved concentration and creativity, reduce stress level and anxiety, and helps maintain mental fitness. In my own experience I can agree with this statement because of the choice to change my lifestyle I have been a happier person.

Two years ago, before I became a health and wellness coach I will admit it did not take much to get me upset, my anxiety was at a level ten. I was Unable to be a hundred percent attentive to any task, I was always low on energy, no real interest in doing much. I was in no form to be productive on work days my stress level was sky high and I can remember a lot of rest less nights. Fast forward to august 2015 a good friend and co-worker at the time and I decided to attend a fit camp, in search of different ways to change how we were being on a day to day basis. Of course, it was super challenging and hard we thought we were knocking on deaths door literally, but what was shocking and amazing to me was how great I felt after. It was like a burst of energy came out of nowhere and gradually I noticed the changes in our attitudes. It was at that moment we found the desperate change we were looking for, so we started making exercise a priority daily and nutrition commitment. This was one of the choices that will always be the most important part of this new beginning. I can go on forever to tell you the major change making this adjustment to our life style has created.

I learned that the reason we always felt bad was because we ate bad, a lot of people don’t realize that we are what we eat and what we spend time doing. If you sat and ate junk a whole day the results of that would be feeling tired, lazy, and that usually brings forth being in an unpleasant mood majority of the time. The days that I did not work out or was being inconsistent with my nutrition plan were the days I felt completely off and out of balance. With that self -observation I had to make a choice, so I chose to be consistent with what helps me to be a happier and healthy person and commit to sharing that light with others. It is a choice that begins with us changing our mindset, we cannot live a happy life with bad habits, it is important to set your intentions on producing good results daily. My secret to living a happy life is to pray, exercise and Eat well, this unlocks the door to better and brighter days for me and everyone I meet. It is not that it gets easier you just get better and you begin fall in love with how amazing you feel, how you look, and even who you are becoming during this process. Happiness begins with health taking care of internal health and our minds produces happier thoughts, being productive and pure Joy. This does not mean that your life will be perfect you are just better equipped to take on life challenges with a smile.
