Spiritual Beings
“You have to grow from the inside, no one can teach you, no one can make you spiritual, there is no other teacher but your own soul.” Many times, people confuse spirituality to be defined under a specific religion of practice, I too believed that every time I heard the word spirituality it was religion based. This is not something any one should be embarrassed or ashamed of simply because we are spiritual beings that along our journey were taught things that separates us from our true selves. We were given names and groups to choose from to which we identified ourselves as, and along with that we developed the need to judge and separate ourselves from others based on practice. We are all one we all came into this world by birth and we will leave by death, the only thing that separates us is time and distance if we allow it. We are all divine and unique people connected through creation, where love is the key to all things and what makes life worth living.
Many people believe that healing and peace is created externally we cannot find peace or search for healing outside of ourselves we must find them internally. There is no time stamp on when to begin your journey of spiritual growth, but it is the only way to elevate and vibrate higher. To unlock your true potential, you must take on the art of dying while you are alive and detaching physically to connect spiritually. After all we are all spirits having a human body experience being present spiritually is to become limitless and aiming to reach our highest potential. Fitness and clean eating are the two areas I am really disciplined in which is extremely important, but I began to feel like I needed to dig a little deeper than what was visible. I felt a shift in my energy and I learned that the only way I could truly maintain peace and the ability to remain grounded is through spiritual growth. During the summer I attended a few yoga sessions and I also begin listening to a lot of meditation audio’s which I fell in love with.
I fell in love with the sensation of peace, being able to silence my mind and becoming one with myself and God, I no longer was feeling the need to beat myself up about missing church on Sundays. I always felt like the only way I would be a good Christian/spiritual individual was if I was attending church regularly, I love being in the house of God I grew up in church. I Learned that church was just a building and God’s presence is every where and that it is equally important to build and intimate relationship with God on your own. I share this to say that life is about loving all things in creation, finding the lesson in all experiences, and connecting and building a relationship with God. Life is a simple, magical blessing and everyone is on their own unique journey that is meant to lead us to our purpose in life. Invest more time smiling when we rise each day, having a heart of gratitude, setting our intentions on being the best version of ourselves and being a light and a blessing to many unapologetically.
